Written test day
only 21 people applied for chemical engineering in Malaysia were there
from which
only 16 people picked the exact same course as me
-- Chemical Engineering via Engineering
Met some people
I thought I was already crazy in fact I'm not the only one ...
hahahahahha
science student mostly have a few choices in common:
like mine:
Cambridge, Imperial, UCL
most art stream students also have a few choices in common:
like:
Cambridge, LSE, UCL
this itself.. is a statement to proof that ..
I don't see my hope much more
...
other than meeting some people from my college:
Including a 14 year old graduate who scored 4 A*
A head prefect from Cempaka, who did really well in exam or so I've heard
another girl sitting behind me, whom I've met in MUN
and a korean guy named Justin, July intake 2014 .... self learn further maths...
all of which kena shortlisted ...
hmmmm ....
To top it for..
there's a lot of people who got full JPA scholarship for college..
hmmmm ...
I'm wondering what I was doing there ...
so anyway ..
for TSA.. it was a 90 mins MCQ ...
so general .. like english SPM question..
but tougher...
and some maths application question ...
out of 100.. most people will score around 50 ... in average
that's why .. I can't tell how I did ...
except that I was left with 5 questions or so ... when the time ended
and had to simply shade the answer hahhahaha
For the next 30 mins immediately ..
was an essay question
that time.. I was actually baffled.. with mind full of logic and focus on TSA
the questions are very general .. like english essay
but NEVER treat it like english essay...
u MUST state examples ..........
the essay question I chose was:
Describe the potential of renewable resources in the next hundred years..
Very SPM right?
but WRONG...
for Solar energy ..
I have to state only 1% of the solar energy was used ...
the new breakthrough for solar panels where 144 atoms of gold was added to increase efficiency
the possibility of solar powered handphones
75% of the earth is covered in water...
tidal energy
how hydroelectric method was used...
like the run-by-river method...
the pumped-storage method.. (which I describe as a very efficient method)
biomass.. where energy is still in the domestic waste
and the new breakthrough where industrial chemical waste can be converted to energy too
palm oil in malaysia ... for a substitute of fuel oil ...
the plantation is also very vast..
bla bla bla ...
etc etc etc ...
only 30 mins ..
so i didn't bring any conclusion ... hahahahha
anyway ...
if i survive this whole cambridge thing..
I would be the idol of my own -w-
interview tomorrow..
prepared for it being very very academic ...
got my lesson from the mock interview..
my interviewer is very chemistry based..
prepared for lots of organic chem questions for god knows what reason hahahhaha
die....
but content :)
only 90 applicants in total for Malaysia (excluding med and vet students)
and I'm one of them :)
Happy ^^
