All 3 assessments .. are personality tests...
to see what kind of leader you are..
these tests have no time limit
but always have the ability to make me soak in and think about who I am ...
after the test hahahahha
First of all,
I'm not a big fan of objective based tests when it comes to knowing someone..
I'm more of a gray side person..
I don't always ... do what I claim to do ..
and I don't always avoid things that I claim to not do ..
there are... and always will be special circumstances..
Okay , so lets' clear things up a bit ..
Everyone have different opinions about me
some think I'm dedicated, while some think I lust for power ..
some think I'm pushy, while some think I'm democratic..
but there are some things that are definitely true about me ...
1. I'm super systematic
For quite some time... I've been doing things in quite a mechanical way (cuz the idea of it is quite comforting )
I literally carry my planner around with me .. (especially when I'm going to meetings)
I carry respective notebook around with me too .. (yes, different events, different notebooks, to not get mixed up)
I need a to-do-list, and I need a timeline..
I do things the methodological way .. despite how different the event is...
it's all about.. planning & gathering ideas, meetings, refinement, rehearsals, event-day, and reflection
for everything..
magnify this sequence by 5 times.. and it's my schedule
2. I am very committed with my work
As much as I try to defy otherwise sometimes, I commit ... and dedicate as much as I can
to make do everything and achieve planned goals..
I can sacrifice my bedtime and any breaks
but lately, I'm not a big fan of sleeping late anymore .. (as in .. I don't stay up till 2am anymore)
cuz I realize what sleeping late those to one's body ..
and I don't want that ..
3. I focus on goals and deadlines
This is the hard part
cuz in the scholarship assessment: they ask if you can oversee all aspects when decision is to be made..
and they ask you again.. if you are focused on the goals ..
and then they ask you again.. if you are very committed in building a harmonious environment
and then they ask if you would do whatever it takes to achieve goals even it means....
getting someone feel hurt ... or something..
to be honest.. I'm just trying my best to find balance in all aspects ..
however, there are always times... when you can't ... just be get the best of all worlds..
there are times when uncooperative members/teammates will bring the plan down ..
even though I don't favour the idea of taking the burden all to myself , just to make plans work
I will consider this too ..
there are also times when I get slightly off track .. and I need people to guide me ...back on track
4. See criticism as setbacks? or Perspectives?
I can't tell .. really ...
all these years, I've been trying my best to NOT feel sad when people reject my ideas .
or try my best to NOT secretly feel angry when people say bad things in front of me and everyone else
I tried so hard.. but I never felt too good about it ...
Yes.. I do feel sad ... I do feel demotivated ...
however, my natural intentions to reach target .. and not give up.. always drive me through ..
despite my temporary sadness that might last for quite some time (I take these as reminders)
How can I tell them .. that .. I jump back to my feet, and act normal / carefree despite how demotivated and sad I am ?
Criticisms .. harsh ones... are always a setback to me ..
opinions ... mild ones.. are always a perspective to me ...
But how would the board know what I'm thinking .. with all those .. yes no answers
5. Do I lie?
Of course I do ..
I lie about how I feel after I'm thrown with sticks and stones..
I go one whole round when I "sack" people.. or tell people how disappointed I feel ..
like .. when I feel that someone is not just drifting, but have some .. unattractive personalities..
I find myself just ..try to sit that person down .. and give hints.. instead of just
laying it on the table..
I find that a lie...
I sometimes lie about how sorry I feel when someone leaves the team, but secretly it was a relieve to me since ... they seem like shadow members... who are just there .. and give multiple excuses of not doing their job ...
but how would khazanah know if that is a good lie.. or a bad lie????
they only ask us to rate on a scale of 1-very unlikely to 7- very likely
6. Do I order people around or listen to opinions?
I learn and listen to opinions
at the same time.. I find decision making based on a person's opinion
a little less democratic ...
@@ ...but then again ........
how is one suppose to lead without making decisions ..
so .. again.. I find balance..
I seek opinions(democratic).. filter out choices (make decisions).. organize voting sessions (democratic)..make final choices if there are no results to the voting sessions (make decisions)
if you see the whole flow.. you realize that ..
there isn't much of a black and white area @@
it all depends on a situation ..
Things won't be very efficient if I don't lay things around and arrange jobs and tasks, asking if everyone is okay with it after this of course...
Also, I don't know if I influenced anyone.. I mean.. sure occasionally .. one or more people would come str8 in my face and say you've influenced me ... but does that mean I tend to influence people?
...hmm not really ..
I just do my best ..... I care about people.. .but I doubt that's influential
Talking about caring for people.. I write tiny notes to people and ask them about their days... I like organizing meetings where people will laugh at a joke, but come back in focus mode when I need them to ... does that mean I'm very bossy?
I'm versatile, meaning I don't mind doing anything at all, I take them all as a new experience,
but if you want me to contribute at best, I would do something that I'm more familiar on ..
does that mean I like trying things new? or I like to stick to the book?
I don't think I'm a creative person too .. despite my spearheading of events.. they normally come from TV shows or other people's suggestions... my activities are not really creative @@ .. which is why I chose the option: slightly agree
I also don't mind changes.. but I find frequent changes highly unnecessary .. unless for the betterment of the team . .. which is why I chose ... slightly agree...
you see... there are so many gray areas...
@@ ...
that's why I'm really looking forward to a more subjective interview..
when it comes to personality test
I don't like objective choices..
but one thing for sure, I learn from my mistakes...
I try to change myself into a quieter person, but it's seriously driving me nuts to have ...
only one goal .. to do my best academically and get my conditional offer
Less socializing is killing me ..despite the calming atmosphere ..
well .. but that's what life is about.. making choices..
